THOMSON TAXIDERMY STUDIO
OVER 39 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
Coaldale, Alberta, Canada
THE TAXIDERMY PROCESS
We specialize in big game taxidermy with an emphasis on shoulder, pedestal, and custom life size mounts. Once we receive your trophy, the cape is sent to one of the top commercial tanneries in North America. After the tanned cape is returned, we customize the piece utilizing plaster casts, field measurements, and close up pictures to ensure your trophy is both anatomically accurate and artistically appealing.
All bases are customized in house, ensuring premium carpentry that will match the decor of each hunters home. Each piece is unique; the animal's pose, the natural habitat, and the woodwork.
A wide array of services can be seen in our Gallery. Please contact us with the ideas you have for your mount and we will be pleased to work with you to create a memorable and lasting trophy.
Deposits: A deposit of 1/3 the quoted price will be required prior to starting any taxidermy work.
Prices for our taxidermy are based on Service, Experience, Excellence, and Integrity and will be quoted once we discuss your vision for your mount. Prices will vary depending on the complexity of the piece. For prices, please phone us.
We accept cash/cheque, VISA, and Master Card.
THE SHIPPING PROCESS
Thomson Taxidermy Studio has import certification and we import and export taxidermy work worldwide.
Imports: The appropriate licenses and permits from the province/country of origin must accompany all wildlife that is received by Thomson Taxidermy. Please contact us ahead of time to inform us of wildlife being shipped to the studio; additional shipping information can be provided at this time.
Exports: We look after all applicable export permits and handle the transport details for your completed mount. All shipping crates are constructed to match each specific mount and are made of quality materials to ensure the safe delivery of your trophy.
